A Second Honeymoon

We had a bit of a long wait (about 8 hours) at DFW airport before we were actually on our way. We passed the time by seeing a few friends in the terminal and playing games like quidler, reading and an occasional 10 minute nap.

By the time we boarded our second flight from Charleston to Pensecola-we were excited and a bit crazy... We finally took out the camera.

A night in the Quality Inn in Ft. Walton Beach, and a road trip across the bridge... We made it.

San Destin, Florida. Philip had planned our vacation, and after two days of traveling he was tired. We decided that he was worn (not warn, like we would say in Louisiana...) because he was acting outside of his giftedness and I was warn out because I had watched him try to work within mine. We agreed that I would plan our future vacations. phew...
He did a wonderful job, even if he was tired. The beaches were beautiful, the food was fabulous, and we spent some time in the room watching the Food Network. We don't have cable and it rained some. So naps and the Food Network made for a restful couple of days.

After three nights in San Destin, we traveled to Appalatiacola, Florida. It was once the third largest port for shipping cotton, and is now harvest more that 90% of Florida's oyesters. The town is just a small southern town with great restaurants. You can walk around the downtown in about 30 minutes if you walk slow. Many of the shops and restaurants have been featured in Southern Living.
We stayed in a precious Bed and Breakfast. Very cozy and private. We loved it. Sorry the bed is not made in this picture.

We had a great time, and we were ready to come home.

Thank you, Philip. I love you.
